Rack layouts vary greatly and often times it is necessary to mount switches in the back of the cabinet to attain more convenient cabling connections and reduce clutter. While this technique provides several benefits, the air intake is often exposed to elevated air temps as it’s air supply has been pre-heated by the servers in the rack that discharge to the rear. Geist’s switch cooling product line allows network switches to breathe cool air regardless of where they are mounted in the rack.

The Geist network switch cooling products are available in a wide range of configurations and rack space sizes. Designed to work with 1U to 9U devices and beyond, having the ability to channel air to wide ranges of intake / exhaust configurations such as side intake – rear exhaust, front intake – side exhaust, rear intake – front exhaust.
